Twisted Designs

Istnieje rzeźba znana jako „trzy mądre małpy” – jedna zakrywa oczy, druga uszy, trzecia pysk. Pierwsza nie widzi zła, druga nie słyszy zła, trzecia nie mówi o źle. Wpadłem więc na nieoryginalny plan zrobienia sobie czegoś takiego. I tu pojawił się problem, gdyż zapomniałem, w jakiej kolejności małpy są. Nie miałem wówczas dostępu do informacji, a czas leciał. Prawdopodobieństwo, że trafię, wynosiło 1/6. Jeśli jednak umieścić małpy w okręgu, 3/6.  Zawsze takie rozstawienie można uzasadniać „osobistym podejściem artysty”, „wybitną wrażliwością” i tym podobnymi. Zabrałem się do roboty. Ulepiłem korpusy, jednak miałem problem z łapami. Glina była zbyt sucha i łamała się w łokciach. Z wyprostowanymi łapami zbyt dużego wyboru nie miałem. Wsadziłem w nie pistolety i olałem idee zła. I jak zwykle: miały być trzy mądre małpki, a wyszły trzy głupie radioaktywne goryle (tak, wiem, że goryl to też małpa). Całość ulepiona z gliny czerwonej, poza pistoletami – z szmotowej.

There is a sculpture known as the „three wise monkeys” – one is covering the eyes, second ears, third mouth. The first sees no evil, secons hears no evil, third is not talking about evil. So I hit on unorginal idea to do something like this. But there came a problem, because I forgot, in which order the monkeys should be. I did not have the access to information, and time were running out. The probability of correct match was 1 / 6. If, however, put a monkeys in a circle, 3 / 6. You can always justify such approach with „the personal approach of the artist”, „artist’s superhuman sensitivity” or something like that. I started the job. Formed bodies, but I had a problem with the paws. Clay was too dry and were broking in the elbows. With straighten paws I had no choice. I put guns in and didn’t give a damn for „evil” idea. And as usual: there were to be three wise monkeys, and came three stupid radioactive gorillas (yes, I know that gorilla is also a monkey). The entire made of red clay, with the exception of guns – chamotte clay.
